ABOUT US

With the gradual strength of provincial civil service after the eighteenth (18th) amendment to the constitution of Pakistan, the Government of Sindh established Sindh Civil Services Academy (SCSA) in 2011 for professional development of civil servants. Later, the SCSA was revamped and restructured as Training Management and Research (TMR) Wing in 2018, which is now a premier training and research institute. It aims to create a pool of competent, skilled, and professional government officers who can serve the public with excellence, integrity, and accountability. It is, therefore, mandated to conduct pre-service and in-service training programs and courses for capacity building and professional development of civil servants.

The training programs and courses of the TMR Wing are designed to enhance the skills, knowledge, and professionalism of government officers. These cover a broad spectrum of topics, including public sector management, policy development, leadership, communication, ethics, and accountability. It uses modern pedagogical approaches and technologies to make our training programs interactive, participatory, and engaging, and collaborates with national and international training institutions and organizations to promote knowledge sharing and partnership in training and capacity building. It also conducts research and studies on issues related to public sector governance, policy, and management to underpin its endeavors for building the capacity of and professionalism in civil service.
